The two wed at a historical home on Whidbey Island, overlooking the gorgeous Ebey’s landing coastal trail. Hand touched details were scattered throughout— sailboats made from driftwood, hand painted banners, a homemade cake topper, & take home matchboxes. season cut flowers from local gardeners were gathered to be fashioned into bouquets by the bridesmaids themselves. their families & bridal party aiding in the set up & preparation of the weekend, placing their thumbprint on the intimate celebration.
A slow & present pace for the entirety of the wedding, set into motion the day before as they shared a picnic on the beach with their closest people. A time set aside to both soak in the gravity of the occasion & delight in the present.
Their ceremony spot tucked away amidst the tall rosehip fields. Their wedding bands passed around preceding their exchange, to be touched & prayed over by each of their guests. the raw & emotional handwritten vows declaring their forever love & commitment.
An evening spent reliving childhood memories around the dinner table, sharing encouraging words, blessings, & prayers for the newlyweds. The celebration concluded with dancing in sweaters & jackets beneath string lights on that cool July night.
A beautifully ordained day, “right on heaven’s time.”
